Get Connected
Living life together is what makes us the body of Christ. Building personal relationships that support each other, serve together, and have fun together is what makes a thriving community.
Grace Groups and our Ministry Teams are the foundation of our church. They are what bring us closer together and help us grow in our walk with God.
If you are looking for a place to be known, to be loved, to serve, and to learn, this is the place to get connected.

Ministry Teams
The following Serve Teams are groups of people who are building friendships while doing something meaningful & important.
Every team is welcoming of new people and you can join a team at any time. All of our teams are either functioning within or working toward a 3-4 team rotation so that everyone who serves does so once every 3-4 weeks.
For more information on Serve Teams, text the word SERVE to (541) 600-2546
Facilities
We prepare a place for people to connect with each other and with Jesus. We regularly clean and maintain the property of Grace Gate, we set-up & tear-down for major events and occasionally facilitate church-family-work-days.
There are no prerequisites to join our team. All you need is a desire for a job well done & to enjoy teamwork.
Watchmen
We prevent, minimize and eliminate distractions from what God wants to do. We do this by being watchful, resourceful, respectful and helpful whenever something is "out of sorts.”
These skills pertain to hospitality (parking, snow removal, opening a door, finding a seat, carrying a load, etc.). They also pertain to troubleshooting if other teams have something go wrong.
Finally, it pertains to security. There are no prerequisites to serve on this team. All you need is attentiveness, resourcefulness, teachability and a desire to help whoever needs it.
Connect
We help people transition from feeling like a stranger to feeling like family. We do this by providing hospitality, information & introductions. We want you to connect with whatever you need or want to that will help you feel at home at Grace Gate.
There is no prerequisite to join this team. All you need is a friendly heart of hospitality, a listening ear and a growing relationship with Grace Gate.
Worship | AV | Video Teams
We serve God & people with music and supporting technology. Many of us are musicians and vocalists honing our crafts to serve others in connecting with the presence & goodness of God.
Others of us are behind the scenes running supportive technology like visual aid software, lighting programs, sound equipment or recording software so people can effortlessly join in singing with the musicians or revisit a sermon.
To join the musicians, there is an audition and basic expectation of skill level prerequisite to being on one of the bands. There is no prerequisite to supportive technology and we’re always looking for people who want to learn.
Kids Church
We serve children and families in their growing relationship with Jesus. We provide a safe, nurturing & playful environment for infants & toddlers. We provide a safe, loving, & highly interactive environment for preschoolers.
We teach grade-school aged kids about worship, prayer, compassion, and community in the life we live with Jesus. Children also learn to serve & pray for each other.
This team has many layers of involvement so there are places for anyone to serve whether that is with the kids or behind the scenes.
Important Note… any role that interacts with children is a high-trust position so a background check with the State Police, direct oversight & training by another Kids Ministry Teacher and six months of active involvement within Grace Gate is required.
Grace Groups
We create safe & healthy environments for people to connect & grow together relationally. Grace Group Hosts prepare the place.
Grace Group Leaders prepare the content of the study and/or facilitate safe & healthy conversations. All you need is a desire for a safe & healthy connection with God and people.
Grace Group Leaders are a high-trust position so there is a progression of development: begin with active involvement in an existing Grace Group, become a Grace Group Host, be mentored by another Grace Group Leader, and finally, facilitate a Grace Group under the oversight of a mentoring Grace Group Leader.
PlatCom
We cultivate communication gifts (writing, speaking, etc.) to serve people with meaningful information that grows into impactful understanding.
We serve Grace Gate by communicating weekly announcements and occasionally informational videos, written content for social media, and possibly teaching. This team is currently in development and far from its mature form.
All you need is a desire to serve others with words in a meaningful way, the ability to take constructive feedback in front of others and flexibility. As a high-trust position, there is prerequisite training & oversight before teaching on this team.
Prayer
We invite God’s influence into everything and everyone present at any activity of Grace Gate. We gather before every service to pray, we go through each team’s space before things begin to pray for each team and we make ourselves available to pray for anyone who wants it at the end of every event.
This is a high-trust position. There are trainings and a prerequisite timeframe for serving on this team.
